HOLISTIC DECISION MAKING WEEKEND
New Cowgirl Camp 2.0 Series
A somatic, land-based exploration of values, boundaries, and aligned action
The New Cowgirl Camp 2.0 Series is designed for alumni and community members who want to go deeper—slowing down, building nuance, and integrating the skills first introduced at camp.
This immersive weekend invites participants into a somatic and relational approach to decision making, rooted in the body, guided by the land, and supported by collective practice. Together, we’ll explore how choices are shaped not just by logic and values, but by sensation, nervous system patterns, ancestral stories, and relationship—human and more-than-human.
This gathering is co-taught by New Cowgirl Camp facilitators Alex Machado and Beth Robinette, alongside somatic psychotherapist and NCC alum Jennie Bertone.
WHAT THIS WEEKEND IS ABOUT
Many of us know our values—but still feel stuck, conflicted, or disconnected when it comes time to act.
This workshop focuses on:
Digging deep into the Holistic Context, creating a living document that expresses your values, desired quality of life, and future resource base.
Building awareness of how decisions live in the body
Learning to recognize somatic cues of alignment and misalignment
Understanding where and why we get stuck in the action cycle
Practicing boundary awareness, choice, and follow-through
Developing embodied resources for making decisions that are sustainable, relational, and true
We’ll work through movement, reflection, dyads, group process, quiet time, and land-based orientation, allowing insight to emerge through lived experience rather than abstraction.
WHAT IS COWGIRL CAMP LIKE?
The Lazy R Ranch is a working cattle ranch. Accommodations are rustic- use our provided bell tents or pitch a tent in our yard, soak in the beautiful views, and enjoy hearty meals of fresh local meats and produce. Days will be a mix of classroom lecture, group discussion, and hands on demonstration. We’ll have field trips off the ranch to other farms and ranches, and you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the day-to-day operations of the ranch— all in the company of like-minded women. Evenings are filled with discussion, music, poetry, and laughter. No matter your background or experience level, you will leave with a full heart, a full mind, and a lifelong group of friends.
