Somatics & Holistic Context Workshop
May 29-31, 2026
Lazy R Ranch, Cheney, WA
At Roots of Resilience, we believe that caring for land and animals requires more than technical skill. It requires the ability to make sound decisions, navigate relationships, and stay grounded in the face of uncertainty.
This year, we’re excited to host a new workshop designed to explore exactly that intersection, bringing together somatic practice and Holistic Management decision-making, alongside our flagship programs, New Cowgirl Camp and New Rancher Camp.
A New Workshop: Somatics & Holistic Context
Land stewardship asks a lot of us. We make decisions that affect ecosystems, livelihoods, and families—often while navigating stress, conflict, and uncertainty.
This upcoming workshop for women brings together somatic practices and holistic context development to help participants reconnect their internal awareness with the way they make decisions about land, work, and life. We are able to offer this workshop through the Women in Ranching ReGrant initiative.
Participants will explore:
Clearly defining their values in a holistic context, the foundation for the decision-making process we teach
How the body stores information about stress, boundaries, and safety and how to shift patterns for lasting change
Tools for recognizing when we are reactive versus grounded in our values
Practices for making decisions that align with both personal integrity and ecological stewardship
The workshop will combine reflective exercises, group dialogue, and practical frameworks that participants can apply to their own land-based work and leadership.
Our goal is simple: to help people cultivate the clarity and resilience needed to steward land and community well.
