madison THROOP

Madison Throop is a land steward, prescribed grazier, and Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) monitor rooted in the working landscapes of Eastern Washington. Raised on her family’s wheat farm near Davenport, she grew up immersed in production agriculture, land management, and the seasonal realities of rural life. This early foundation shaped her deep respect for land, labor, and long-term stewardship.

With over five years of hands-on experience in holistic land and livestock management, Madison specializes in using grazing as a practical tool for land restoration, invasive species control, and wildfire fuel reduction. As an EOV monitor, she conducts on-the-ground ecological assessments, tracking soil health, plant diversity, and ecosystem function, to ensure that grazing systems are producing meaningful, measurable outcomes for the land.

Madison’s work bridges traditional agricultural knowledge with regenerative and adaptive management practices. She is passionate about supporting women in building confidence, competence, and ecological literacy through land-based skills. Whether monitoring rangeland health, managing livestock, or mentoring others, Madison’s approach emphasizes observation, accountability, and working in relationship with natural systems. Her work reflects a belief that resilient landscapes are shaped by thoughtful management, and by people willing to take responsibility for the land they care for.
